Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Admissions and Records Representative to join our team at Southern Illinois University. As a key member of our admissions and records department, you will be responsible for performing skilled admissions, records, and/or registration duties, including credential evaluations, policy interpretation, and student registration work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret student academic records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct credential evaluations to determine eligibility and/or completion of academic program or admission requirements.
  • Assist in the maintenance of student academic records, including entering, verifying, and updating data within electronic systems.
  • Investigate and resolve issues within electronic systems related to admissions, records, and/or registration activities.
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and/or requirements related to admissions, records, and/or registration activities, under supervision.
  • Assist in the compilation of data and drafting reports to support departmental decision-making.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in administrative support, admissions and enrollment, customer service, public relations, records management, or closely related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with electronic record systems or databases.
