We are seeking a highly skilled Admissions and Records Representative to join our team at Southern Illinois University. This role will be responsible for performing skilled admissions, records, and/or registration duties, including credential evaluations, policy interpretation, and student registration work.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and interpret student academic records
- Conduct credential evaluations to determine eligibility and/or completion of academic program or admission requirements
- Evaluate intra- and inter-institutional transfers
- Assist in the maintenance of student academic records
- Enter, verify, and update data within electronic systems related to admissions, records, and/or registration activities
- Investigate and resolve issues within electronic systems
- Interpret policies, procedures, and/or requirements related to admissions, records, and/or registration activities, under supervision
- Assist in the compilation of data and drafting reports
- Assist with student registration activities
- Assist in both off and/or on-campus departmental activities
- Investigate transfer credit or academic record issues
- Perform duties of the lower level
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Any one or combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the categories below:
- Course work in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- 60 semester hours or an Associate?s Degree equals eighteen months (18 months)
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
- Work experience in administrative support, admissions and enrollment, customer service, public relations, records management, or closely related experience
