About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Arlington, Massachusetts. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Registered Nurses in providing direct patient care, including accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
  • Participate in patient rounds and teams, contributing to the development of individualized care plans.
  • Identify patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to Registered Nurses and follow established protocols for patient care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; two years of college plus one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in direct patient care, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
