Position Overview

Peraton is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive suite of technical, financial, and program management support to the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency, aiming to establish a robust set of enterprise cloud services that match the quality and capabilities of leading technology firms. Our mission is to offer professional services that integrate and facilitate the utilization of a diverse array of software applications, databases, computing resources, storage solutions, and data protection mechanisms sourced from various Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and other service models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide the development process by articulating the vision to an Agile or Scrum team, prioritizing tasks based on their business impact.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure their needs are reflected in the project outcomes, while collaborating with the team to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Oversee the business dimensions of the project, ensuring the correct product is developed in the appropriate sequence, within budget, and on schedule.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Agile or Scrum team regarding information dissemination, task prioritization, and decision-making.
  • Coordinate and supervise the Scrum process from initiation to completion.
  • Serve as a liaison among the product owner, development team, and management to ensure all objectives and requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensure team members are aligned with project goals.
  • Maintain the product backlog and release plan, facilitating productivity by organizing meetings and eliminating obstacles that may hinder the team's sprint objectives.
  • Maintain adaptability and the capacity to respond swiftly to changes, acting as the facilitator for an agile development team.
  • Manage the process for information exchange within the Scrum framework.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 9 years of experience with a BS/BA; 6 years with an MS/MA; or 3 years with a PhD. Relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance (i.e., CBP Full BI).
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preference for candidates with Customer and Border Protection (CBP) Full BI clearance.
  • Possession of one or more Cloud Certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Google, AWS, etc.) is preferred.
  • Scrum Master certification is highly desirable.
