PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The selected candidate will serve as a guiding leader and mentor for the Agile Scrum Team, ensuring that Agile methodologies are comprehended and implemented effectively.
- The selected candidate will orchestrate Scrum ceremonies (including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives) to guarantee they are fruitful and adhere to the designated time constraints.
- The selected candidate will assist Product Owners in their endeavors to manage the product backlog in a proficient and effective manner.
- The selected candidate will support the Scrum Team in recognizing and eliminating obstacles, protecting them from external disruptions to meet sprint objectives.
- The selected candidate will cultivate a cooperative atmosphere where transparent communication, joint problem-solving, and team dynamics enhance productivity and foster team development.
- The selected candidate will ensure the Scrum Team complies with Scrum principles, practices, and regulations, as well as the implementation of the Agile framework.
- The selected candidate will guide the team in evaluating their processes and practices, steering them through the continuous improvement cycle.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in a Linux Engineer role or a similar position within a large and intricate enterprise setting is required.
- A current DoD 8570 Requirement: IAT III Certification or the capability to obtain one within a 6-month grace period is required.
- A profound understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and practices, along with the ability to apply them in a practical manner, is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to guide and influence teams and individuals, are necessary.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and collaboration, are required.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a mindset geared towards continuous improvement, are essential.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances, are required.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
- TS/SCI minimum clearance is required.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Preferred candidates will possess certifications as an Agile expert (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Advanced Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional, or similar credentials).
- Extensive experience with Kanban and other Agile methodologies in addition to Scrum is preferred.
- Adeptness in facilitating and managing Scrum and Kanban practices, including sprints and continuous flow, is desirable.
- Proficiency in project management, with a proven track record of leading teams to successful project outcomes, is preferred.
- Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and compelling documentation for various stakeholders, are desirable.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) to monitor and support the work of Agile teams is preferred.
- Experience in training and coaching teams and individuals in Agile concepts and practices is desirable.
- A strong analytical mindset and the ability to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines are preferred.
