Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the principles and integrity of Gathering Place in all activities.
  • Manage daily custodial tasks, delegate responsibilities, and prioritize safety and cleanliness while ensuring all assignments are completed efficiently.
  • Guide and develop team members to prepare them for daily operations.
  • Effectively organize and lead morning meetings to align team objectives.
  • Maintain professional communication with both team members and guests.
  • Ensure accountability among team members regarding guest service and adherence to departmental policies.
  • Address and resolve conflicts promptly, reporting any issues to management daily.
  • Assist in inventory management and expense control through TMA.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in operational execution by focusing on detail and compliance with all operational standards.
  • Train staff on the correct usage of custodial equipment and supplies, ensuring all tools are well-maintained and safe to use.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives to support the overall objectives of the Facilities Team.
  • Foster positive relationships with team members, other departments, and guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas, including pathways and waste disposal.
  • Ensure thorough cleanup before and after events.
  • Submit maintenance requests through TMA for necessary repairs.
  • Assist with the annual competencies checklist for Hosts.
  • Encourage a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Open and close the facility according to established protocols.
  • Support custodial needs and assist with furniture or equipment setups as required.
  • Accurately complete daily documentation, including notes and spreadsheets, and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Lead the Custodial Team in daily cleaning operations across all areas.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring safety programs within the work environment.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and communicate any repair or replacement needs.
  • Operate various equipment such as pressure washers and park vehicles.
  • Identify and implement effective strategies to complete assigned tasks.
  • Prepare for and respond to biohazard situations in the workplace.
  • Organize personal work tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance operational efficiency, adjusting to attendance levels and other variables.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods, exhibit manual dexterity, and lift up to 50 pounds independently and 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Perform physical activities such as kneeling, squatting, and climbing ladders.
  • May be required to remove snow and ice from designated areas.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Flexible schedule availability to meet operational needs.
  • Knowledge of custodial work methods and preventative maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of experience in custodial or janitorial roles.
  • Experience with pressure washing and specialized floor cleaning equipment is advantageous.
Safety Considerations:
This position is safety-sensitive, requiring a negative result on a pre-employment drug screening, including THC.
