Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a Materials Operations Supervisor to enhance our team.

The Materials Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing the materials functions within the department while ensuring effective materials support for the production process.

This role will lead the planning and execution of activities within the materials support team to achieve production targets, quality standards, and cost efficiency.

The manufacturing facility operates on two shifts, and this position may require flexibility to cover additional hours as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide a team to meet daily production requirements.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management and auditing.
  • Foster team development and career growth.
  • Implement problem-solving strategies, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to mitigate production disruptions.
  • Establish and uphold policies, procedures, and material control systems.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of inventory control systems.
  • Evaluate team performance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Allocate resources effectively and anticipate production challenges to minimize downtime.
  • Promote safety improvements and cultivate a strong safety culture within the supply chain.
  • Facilitate communication across various functions, including Operations, Quality, and Engineering, to ensure production objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain 5S standards in designated areas.
  • Plan and manage overtime based on production needs.
  • Support team members in coordinating with off-site warehouses for parts procurement.
  • Enforce contractual obligations and collaborate with union representatives to resolve issues effectively.
  • Exemplify the core values of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in production or manufacturing.

OR

  • Master's degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience in production or manufacturing.

OR

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in production or manufacturing.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Teams, and BAAN.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and urgency.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with off-site warehouses.
  • Proactive and adaptable to change.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production.
  • Logical problem-solving abilities to make informed decisions.
  • Capability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
