Job Summary

The Custodial Maintenance Lead is responsible for maintaining the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conducting quality inspections, and enforcing policies and procedures. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills to train, coach, and motivate team members to achieve exceptional guest service and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily custodial work, assign tasks, and ensure a high standard of safety and cleanliness.
  • Mentor and develop team members to prepare them for daily operations.
  • Organize and lead start-up meetings effectively and timely.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with team members and guests.
  • Hold team members and self-accountable for guest service, department policies, and procedures.
  • Recognize and resolve conflicts in a timely manner and communicate issues with leadership.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory and controlling expenses.
  • Continuously improve operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to operating standards.
  • Train staff in the proper use of custodial equipment and supplies and maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Participate in cross-training and support of Facilities Team objectives.
  • Ensure a positive working relationship with team members, other support teams, and guests.
  • Maintain area cleanliness, including sweeping pathways, picking up trash, and emptying trashcans.
  • Ensure cleanup before and after events.
  • Submit work orders for needed repairs.
  • Assist with Host annual competencies checklist.
  • Encourage and promote teamwork.
  • Open and close the park in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with custodial needs and furniture or equipment setups and coordinates special work as required.
  • Accurately complete daily paperwork, notes, and spreadsheets and timely report maintenance issues.
  • Lead the daily activities of the Custodial Team to include appropriate cleaning of all park areas.
  • Assist with implementation and monitoring of programs that assure a safe work environment.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment and communicate needs for repair and/or replacement.
  • Operate equipment such as pressure washers, compactors, park vehicles, hoses, etc.
  • Identify and implement effective courses of action to complete assigned work.
  • Prepare for, respond to, and recover from biohazards in the work environment.
  • Organize own work tasks, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
  • Continually look for ways to improve overall efficiency of operations and adjust needs based on attendance levels, operating needs, and other variables.
Requirements
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent, College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year demonstrated leadership.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of a 365-day operation, varied and long shifts including holidays, weekends, and events.
  • Methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work and preventative building maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in custodial or janitorial work.
  • Previous pressure washing experience preferred.
  • Previous experience using specialized floor cleaning equipment preferred.

This is a safety-sensitive position. Applicants, regardless of whether they are a medical marijuana licensee, must receive a negative result on a 10-panel, pre-placement drug screening to include THC, prior to beginning work.
