JOB SUMMARY:

We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team on a contractual basis in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in formulating precise cost estimates for our Offshore and Onshore initiatives, ensuring compliance with company standards and methodologies. This role presents a unique chance to contribute to significant projects within the energy sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate precise cost estimates based on the scopes of work outlined by the Project and Development teams.
  • Guarantee the precision of cost estimates within established tolerances for defined stages of maturity.
  • Comply with company standards, policies, and procedures in all cost estimations.
  • Identify and utilize synergies between activities that may yield cost advantages if executed concurrently.
  • Provide appropriate estimating support employing standard techniques and methodologies.
  • Assist the Lead Estimator with early warning intelligence on estimate deviations, facilitating timely intervention and corrective actions.
  • Implement Client Escalation Indices and Forex philosophy in estimates.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the project Estimate Plan.
  • Draft and update the Basis of Estimate document, reflecting the current scope of work, execution strategy, and schedule.
  • Utilize relevant benchmark information in the preparation of cost estimates.
  • Engage in estimate reviews and governance of estimates provided by other departments and external contractors.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and conduct cost risk analyses models using Safran, encompassing all project scopes.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 10-15 years of estimating experience, preferably within the oil & gas/energy industry across Offshore and Onshore projects.
  • Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent trade with site experience.
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to multitask and manage multiple priorities under stringent deadlines.
  • Experience across Front-End and Back-End Estimating.
  • Background in the Engineering and Construction Industry, particularly in Field or Fabrication.
  • Proficient in applying benchmark data to estimates and producing high-quality estimating documents.
  • Experience interacting with Contractors and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of estimate alignment with project schedules and execution strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present Project Estimates to key stakeholders.
  • Able to work collaboratively across various levels of an organization, including clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
