About the Role:

OakBend Medical Center is seeking a skilled Mental Health Tech to join our team. As a Mental Health Tech, you will play a vital role in providing patient observation and monitoring services in our mental health department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient observation and monitoring services in accordance with hospital policy and the Department of Nursing's philosophy.
  • Work under the general supervision of the Clinical Nursing Leader and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign checks and medication administration.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered.
  • Experience in an accredited healthcare facility with mental health patients preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
