Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Hargrove, Oliver & Parker Enterprises Inc. As a key member of our community-based services, you will play a vital role in empowering families and individuals to overcome barriers and achieve stability in their natural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in initial assessments of client/family situations and ongoing monthly reports, following a standardized format.
- Develop and implement initial service plans within the first 30 days, in collaboration with the client and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor client services and program compliance, ensuring timely and effective delivery of support.
- Maintain regular contact with referring agencies, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless service coordination.
- Attend weekly case supervision and clinical supervision sessions, refining your skills and expertise.
- Facilitate parenting and peer education/support groups, promoting healthy relationships and community engagement.
- Act as a liaison between families, referring agencies, and community organizations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records, documenting services rendered and client progress.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, contributing to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions, upholding the highest standards of client care.
- Collaborate with other clinicians, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance client outcomes.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed, demonstrating empathy and expertise in high-pressure situations.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Human Services or a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, gerontology, special education, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling).
- QPPMH certification or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of community resources, human development, group dynamics, and computer skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective service plans.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
