As a Senior Counsel within PNC's Business & Finance Legal Group (B&F Legal), you will be part of a dynamic team of over 65 legal professionals located in various regions.

B&F Legal is in search of a senior-level attorney specializing in lending to primarily support the Corporate Banking, Asset Backed Finance (securitizations), and Equipment Finance sectors of PNC's Corporate and Institutional Banking division, as well as the Vendor Finance segment of the Business Credit line.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, the Senior Counsel will provide comprehensive legal guidance and support, including:

- Offering legal advice to relationship managers, underwriters, credit officers, and documentation specialists on complex lending matters;
- Collaborating with clients and colleagues to enhance internal processes and improve efficiency while adhering to PNC's risk framework and ensuring a positive customer experience;
- Advising internal loan administrators and operations support on the ongoing management of loans, including collateral and servicing issues;
- Conducting training sessions for internal clients and partners;
- Selecting and overseeing the services of approved external counsel;
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan documents for various commercial loan transactions;
- Maintaining standard loan documentation;
- Working with business lines to identify and resolve issues related to new initiatives, products, and services.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice in one or more states
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in secured transactions and commercial lending laws
  • Substantial experience representing financial services firms in large corporate, middle market, and commercial lending transactions
  • Strong business judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinking ability to identify trends and risks, and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with cross-border transactions, letters of credit, securitization, or vendor finance is a plus
Compensation
Base Salary: $76,000 – $239,200. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is eligible for incentives based on company, business, and individual performance.
