Senior Business Development Manager - Retail

At Diebold Nixdorf, we're looking for a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you'll be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and acquiring new customers within a designated geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute account selling strategies to drive sales growth and revenue expansion.
  • Manage the customer identification and acquisition process from initial contact through sales engagement and deal close.
  • Attend sales, industry, and other events to build a sales pipeline and stay up-to-date on market developments.
  • Research accounts and generate or follow up on sales leads to leverage various selling techniques and meet sales and revenue goals.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Grocery or General Merchandise Retail and the utilization of technology within the environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, strategic planning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization, including senior executive levels.
  • Proficient in all MS Office products with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
  • Possess experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, to maximize opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of Diebold Nixdorf products and services is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Software and Service solution sales would be advantageous.
  • Proven success in high quota-carrying positions.
