About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lock Desk Specialist to join our team at Two Harbors Investment Corp. As a Lock Desk Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing rate lock and other support to our loan origination staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely execution of rate lock requests and communicate effectively with origination staff.
  • Provide customer service to clients on pricing questions, issues, and scenarios for all loan products.
  • Support Operations and Sales teams with pricing issues and access OPP situations.
  • Lock in interest rates on residential mortgage loans, including initial locks, extensions, and re-locks.
  • Review and submit lock requests for specialty products.
  • Manage rate sheet distribution lists for sales teams.
  • Work with spreadsheets and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate with Secondary Marketing Department for price adjustments, off-sheet pricing exceptions, and pricing renegotiations.
  • On-board new Account Executives with comprehensive training.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in lock desk functionality and mortgage industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in math, finance, or related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to research and resolve issues independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with peers, senior leaders, and broker/dealer community.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage markets and rates.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write routine reports and correspondence.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this role include regular talking and hearing, sitting for extended periods, and occasional standing and walking. The employee must regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and reach with hands and arms. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
