Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Propulsion Engineer to join our team. As a Propulsion Engineer, you will be responsible for performing propulsion system and structure support and analysis on various commercial and defense programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Performance Analysis: Participate in various testing, analysis, modeling, and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.
  • Certification Tests: Support definition and performance of certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.
  • Ground and Flight Testing: Assist with ground and flight test planning, participate in the conduct of ground and flight tests.
  • Requirements Definition: Contribute to the definition of requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems, and vehicle fuel and tank systems.
  • Interface Management: Coordinate and control the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.
  • Specifications and Architectural Concepts: Support the development of specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and Development: Assist with the design of propulsion sub-systems and components to meet all vehicle design and performance criteria.
  • Fielded Systems Support: Support fielded systems to assure continued reliability and airworthiness.
  • Future Propulsion Systems: Assist with the development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of working experience within aerospace or aviation.
  • Technical Skills: Minimum 1 year of experience working with structural propulsion, nacelle design, or stress engineering within the field.
Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Rate: $50.00 - $70.00/hr (flexible based on experience)

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, normal working hours

Hiring Method: 1 year contract, potential for extensions as well as permanent opportunities
