Key Responsibilities
System Installation and Training
- Install and educate clients on various laser and vision-based projection systems across diverse applications.
- Conduct on-site calibration and commissioning of new systems.
- Perform system-level troubleshooting.
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience.
- Adhere to all company quality and safety protocols.
- Document customer applications and contribute to product development and issue resolution.
On-site Service and Troubleshooting
- Conduct field diagnostics and troubleshooting of electronic components using standard tools.
- Maintain and repair industrial control systems and integrated components.
- Implement preventative maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Provide remote assistance to clients as needed.
Remote Support
- Offer technical support via phone, email, and remote desktop from your home office.
- Occasionally assist with after-hours support calls.
- Maintain accurate reporting and data entry within company systems.
- Manage personal travel expenses.
- Participate in product testing.
Qualifications
General Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish or French, is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a technical service role is beneficial.
- Strong spatial awareness and the ability to visualize in 3D.
- Self-motivated with a capacity for independent work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety practices.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Windows and related software, including MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to interpret NC programming language.
- Skilled in navigating advanced Windows settings.
- Familiarity with basic network topography.
- Comfortable with learning new software applications.
- Experience with CAD design software is a plus.
Working Conditions
- Travel requirement of up to 75%, primarily within North America.
- Ability to work at various heights.
- Work environments will vary, including outdoor settings.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours may be necessary.
