Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Value Stream Leader to join our team at Komatsu's Longview Operations motor shop. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the motor shop, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a culture of zero harm and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Assist the manager in overseeing workers and labor, planning and establishing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership to operations personnel, enforcing safety and regulations.
  • Perform pre-shift safety meetings and safety stand downs as required.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years progressive production experience, including 2 years team lead or related supervisory experience.
  • High School diploma required, technical degree or above preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of Plant Manufacturing Operations and understanding of engineering drawings and structured bills of material.
  • Financial acumen (budget development and management).
