Job Responsibilities

As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on the fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, and auxiliary equipment as assigned by your supervisor. You will also be required to complete necessary documentation and computer entries for accurate record-keeping.

Key Duties:
  • Perform hands-on repairs on company vehicles and equipment, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety with minimal supervision.
  • Understand and operate various types of equipment based on verbal instructions, including forklifts and trailers, while executing basic welding and cutting tasks safely.
  • Familiarize yourself with FMCSA DOT regulations relevant to the equipment types.
  • Utilize shop management software for work order processing, repair tracking, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with team members and assist supervisors and managers as needed in a positive and cooperative manner.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the yard as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • 2-5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
