Principal Engineer Motor Design

Komatsu is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the construction, mining, and industrial machinery markets. As a Principal Engineer Motor Design, you will play a critical role in developing electromagnetic designs for air-cooled and water-cooled Switched Reluctance motors and generators.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate creative solutions using design principles and experience.
- Translate concepts and information into images and drawings.
- Define tests and analyze test data to ensure design meets expected performance requirements.
- Interface with various functions within the organization or customers to review product testing results and discuss potential design changes.
- Communicate complex topics to audiences ranging from customers to peers to shop personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's with Motor Design emphasis preferred.
- At least 15 years of design experience in a manufacturing setting for large (200+ HP) traction motors and generators.
- PE license preferred (any state).
- CAD experience, preferably Solid Edge or SOLIDWORKS.
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the field of electromagnetic design.
