Role Summary: The Building Automation Controls Engineer plays a crucial role within our controls division, collaborating closely with the sales team to design and implement mechanical system controls. Our focus is on providing comprehensive solutions that ensure energy efficiency in buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage service calls of varying complexity and scope.
  • Prepare controls submittals in accordance with project specifications.
  • Comprehend the operational sequences of mechanical systems.
  • Independently design and develop control systems.
  • Interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical schematics.
  • Assist in troubleshooting system issues and provide guidance for resolution.
  • Create drawing packages for new DDC projects and compile closeout documentation, including as-built drawings.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and internal teams regarding work performed and required.
  • Participate in an on-call schedule as needed.

Compliance: Adhere to all guidelines, policies, and procedures established by Calvert Controls.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification in Niagara AX and/or N4.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell and Johnson Controls product lines.
  • Possession of a 602 Journeyman license.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain DOT certification.
  • Pass a background check for government facilities.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • CFC Universal certification.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in implementing software code and managing software aspects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and AutoCAD.
  • 3-5 years of experience in controls programming.
