  • Perform electrical and controls layouts, updating drawings in CAD to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Engineers, Operations, and Maintenance to drive improvements and resolve issues.
  • Analyze machines for conformance with operational standards, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Improve manufacturing systems and reliability of electrical and control systems to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Assume project manager role for improvement projects, overseeing planning, installation, and commissioning.
  • Write project specifications for vendor bids, providing clear and concise requirements for successful project execution.
  • Provide project justification and cost-benefit analysis to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams in design, planning, installation, and commissioning to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Electrical Controls Engineering, with a strong background in Siemens PLC programming.
  • Extensive experience in PLC code development, with a focus on troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Experience with motion control systems using VFDs and Servos, with a preference for Siemens.
  • Electrical distribution troubleshooting and design experience, with a focus on high-speed manufacturing facilities.
  • HMI programming experience, with a preference for Aveva.
  • Knowledgeable user of AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office, with strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply principles of mathematics, statistics, and engineering to drive improvements.
