Job Summary

Bluegrass Orthopaedics is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Human Resources Manager and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Onboarding and Employee Administration
  • Develop and implement an effective onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Prepare and coordinate all necessary paperwork and schedules for new hires, including data entry and audits for accuracy and compliance.
Payroll and Benefits Administration
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing, including bi-weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation pay, expense reimbursement, and benefits changes.
HR Support and Communication
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart.
  • Contribute to policy development and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Employee Engagement and Recognition
  • Support the Human Resources Manager in coordinating employee engagement activities, including employee recognition programs and intranet postings.
Record Keeping and Compliance
  • Maintain all OSHA records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience
  • Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of national laws and regulations related to employment.
  • Preferred degree or certification in medical specialty.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems.
Working Conditions

This is an in-office position that requires good visual acuity, hand-finger dexterity, and the ability to speak and hear. The ability to use electronic methods of communication is also required.

Standards
  1. Understands and follows the standards of the Bluegrass Orthopaedic Employee Manual.
  2. Understands and follows the Bluegrass Practice Responsibility Program, Code of Conduct, and completes all yearly compliance training and educational programs.
