About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team at Hinkle Contracting Company, LLC. As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of managing the day-to-day people operations activities, including benefits, recruitment, and retention activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure a smooth transition for new employees
  • Assist with recruitment and retention activities, including job postings, interviews, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Support the HR Department with maintaining employee personnel files and filing systems, including onboarding, creating new folders, filing employee paperwork, terminations, and I-9's
  • Assist Human Resources with performing all other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Mind-set to find creative solutions and passion for the employee and candidate experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and deliver results while time-managing multiple projects simultaneously
