The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing relationships within target customers to penetrate the organizations and open doors to new business opportunities in Plastics production and secondary operations.

  • The candidate will deploy a global account strategy in conjunction with Management to achieve business aims and objectives.
  • The Business Development Manager will aggressively pursue plastics and value-added opportunities to ensure competitive take-away, market share growth, and prime strategic positioning for future business successes.
  • The Business Development Manager will be accountable for meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets set by Management.
  • The Business Development Manager will communicate issues and problems back into the company to drive and assist with resolution.
  • The Business Development Manager will identify, qualify, and close new business in line with set quotas and engage appropriate resources from cross-functional teams to ensure successful business execution.
  • The Business Development Manager will own and manage related RFQs and act as the primary point of contact for timely response delivery and feed information back into Management in support of developing Business Plans.
  • The Business Development Manager will regularly update sales data systems with customer data, new opportunity logs, and call plans.
  • The Business Development Manager will supervise a Business Development Manager or team of Business Development Managers as necessary, providing guidance and direction.

Key qualifications include a BA or BS degree, minimum 5-8 years of industrial or components sales experience, knowledge of the plastics industry, and a comprehensive understanding of global supply chain and OEM manufacturing requirements.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and closing skills, as well as experience working with remote cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations.
