Position Overview

The Senior International Flight Operations Consultant plays a critical role in managing the journey from Owner inquiry and booking through to flight execution, ensuring the highest standards of service are met.

This position is essential in identifying and addressing potential service challenges by offering tailored solutions that align with the Owner's preferences and flight context.

Collaboration is key, as the Consultant works closely with various NetJets teams and external partners to guarantee that all logistical arrangements, including international estimates, are confirmed promptly and communicated clearly.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive reviews of international flight bookings to assess any factors that may hinder the flight from fulfilling the Owner's service expectations.

Propose mitigation strategies for any identified issues to ensure adherence to the planned flight itinerary.

  • Perform feasibility assessments by developing flight test plans and analyzing aircraft performance limitations. Utilize these plans to adjust Owner reservation trip timings, determine overflight permit needs, and secure accurate airport slots and permits.
  • Relay options to Owner Services, Owners, and other operational teams to enhance the overall flight experience for the Owner.
  • Identify and implement logistical arrangements that necessitate advanced planning.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of NetJets sales offerings to provide international estimates for Owner trip inquiries or reservations.
  • Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for both prospective and current Owner inquiries and scenario evaluations. Collaborate with all relevant flight center teams, including Dispatch, Meteorology, Scheduling, Owner Services, Flight Operations, Flight Mission Delivery, Aircraft Industries, NetJets Europe operational teams, Executive Jet Management, and external vendors and partners.
Educational Background High School diploma in Aviation or Business Experience Requirements 4-6 years of relevant experience Core Competencies Adaptability, Collaboration, Curiosity, Service Orientation, Commitment to Positive Outcomes Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in international flight operations
  • Strong expertise in international flight logistics and requirements
  • Extensive knowledge in international flight planning
  • Solid grasp of general aviation operations
  • Basic understanding of aviation weather
  • Familiarity with business aircraft capabilities and limitations
  • Working knowledge of FAR parts 91, 91K, and 135
  • Understanding of international airspace regulations
  • Strong comprehension of NetJets sales products
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a knack for anticipating potential challenges and managing uncertainty
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of addressing diverse audiences
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Strong appreciation for the diversity within employee and Owner groups
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as needed
