Position Overview

The Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to established processes, as well as assessing the effectiveness of controls in relation to internal policies and procedures. The IEP is a fundamental aspect of the Safety Assurance framework within NetJets Aviation, Inc. (NJA) Safety Management System (SMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled assessments of NJA processes to verify compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Data Collection Tool (DCT) standards and NJA protocols concerning maintenance and flight operations.
  • Execute special audits as instructed by the Director of Safety Assurance, focusing on compliance with FAA DCT and NJA standards for maintenance and flight operations.
  • Review NJA processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with external audit requirements.
  • Assess the effectiveness of Corrective Action / Preventative Action (CAPA) during both planned and unplanned inspections.
  • Assist in formulating risk assessments as detailed in the NJA Safety Management Manual.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations related to audit findings, including risk severity assessments following audits, as well as monthly and quarterly metrics reports.
Educational Requirements Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Preferred Certifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience Requirements 2-4 years of relevant experience in auditing or process evaluation.   • Proficiency in auditing or assessing process control and effectiveness.
  • Capability to interpret maintenance and flight-specific documentation.
  • Competence in evaluating records and procedural documents, making independent compliance decisions, and identifying gaps.
  • Ability to work autonomously while exercising sound judgment and discretion.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating reports, assessing risks, and providing recommendations to management.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity, with a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing effective reports and procedural manuals.
  • Technical proficiency in common software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective in both independent and team settings, with a tactful approach to interpersonal interactions.
  • Ability to comprehend general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Proven ability to engage with individuals at various levels of authority.
  • Operational experience in Aviation Safety, Flight Operations, Maintenance, or a comparable sector within the transportation industry.
