Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in New York City. As an HRBP, you will serve as an advisor to assigned business units, interacting with all levels of the organization to manage employee and labor relations. Your key responsibilities will include providing support to business units in interpreting and consistently applying HR policies, implementing performance review processes, addressing compensation and training needs, and resolving HR-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish relationships with assigned business units and coordinate with various departments to address and resolve HR needs and issues;
  • Act as a resource for assigned business units in interpreting Human Resources policies, communicating new policies and/or changes to existing policies/programs, and recommending approaches to improve the efficiency of the HR department;
  • Partner with Labor and Employee Relations teams and Associate General Counsel to prepare for contract negotiations;
  • Articulate requirements clearly to managers and business partners on collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), compensation, benefits, and performance review questions;
  • Respond to union-specific requests related to payroll, invoicing, reporting, audits, and contract negotiations;
  • Conduct investigations objectively and provide guidance to management on employee counseling and documentation;
  • Improve manager and employee performance by identifying opportunities, evaluating solutions, and coaching and counseling managers and employees;
  • Maintain personnel records that comply with company, State, and Federal guidelines, and provide timely responses to unemployment claims;
  • Assist with employee reviews, compensation, submission of performance ratings, and compensation recommendations;
  • Coordinate HR-related training programs with Communications Managers and Recruitment Directors;
  • Participate in special projects as requested or desired.
