We are partnered with a growing and exciting company in the construction industry seeking a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to join the team The Human Resources Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the HR Manager and CEO, contributing to the smooth and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resources department. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, proficient in data management, and capable of becoming an expert in various HR tasks and training programs.

Core Duties:

  • Keep up-to-date and correct electronic HR documents, files, and records.
  • Assist the President/CEO and the HR Manager with administrative tasks.
  • Accomplish Form I-9, check supporting documents, and keep I-9 files up to date.
  • Provide backup support to payroll, including processing payroll, answering employee questions, and distributing checks.
  • Assist with new hire orientation.
  • Schedule training for field employees.
  • Arrange travel and accommodations for company personnel.
  • Assist with planning and executing special events, employee recognition events, holiday parties, retirement celebrations, anniversary events, and birthday celebrations, including providing support during these activities.
  • Provide HRIS technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to users.
  • Schedule interviews with candidates and assist with reviewing applications and resumes.
  • Conduct background checks and reference calls.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of HR processes and procedures, including software requirements.
  • Generate management reports as requested.
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or/and relevant experience.
  • Adept at using the Microsoft Office Suite and other related programmes.
  • Accurate, meticulous, and has strong time management skills.
  • The ability to handle sensitive data and maintain confidentiality.
