The Sanitation Operations Specialist is tasked with ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality control within the facility.
  • The role involves maintaining sanitation protocols, adhering to regulatory requirements, and documenting product development processes.
This position implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee proper storage of products destined for transportation, as well as preparing pallet orders and assisting in various areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Uphold sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work areas. The role requires physical stamina, including bending, lifting, and pulling weights up to 75 lbs.

Adhere to quality inspection protocols and remove any food products that do not meet established quality criteria. Follow company safety and sanitation guidelines, maintain accurate records as necessary, and prepare sanitation carts for cleaning and equipment sanitation. Conduct basic housekeeping tasks, including cleaning floors and external surfaces of all equipment, and restocking sanitation supplies for employees.

Clean plant drains according to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), including drains from fluid processing machines. Prepare and utilize mobile foamers to sanitize work areas in compliance with SSOPs. Navigate the first-floor processing areas with the foamer, connecting it to stationary air lines and activating valves for foaming. Scrub, rinse, and sanitize all treated areas.

Climb stairs while maneuvering the mobile foamer to sanitize upper-level stacker rooms, connecting to stationary air lines and activating valves for foaming.

Ensure all documentation is completed clearly, accurately, and in accordance with SOPs.

Follow SOPs for product storage, replenishing product pick locations, and managing the rotation of products, including loading and unloading operations with a pallet jack.

Take responsibility for prerequisite programs and food quality in the designated area, promptly reporting any food safety or quality concerns to management. Perform additional duties as assigned and assist in the production area as required.

Attendance and Physical Requirements:

Consistent and punctual attendance is essential. The employee must regularly engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping. The ability to push, pull, lift, and/or move up to 75 pounds is necessary.

Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
