The Sanitation Production Specialist is accountable for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and quality control within the facility.
- The role focuses on sanitation compliance, quality documentation, and the overall cleanliness of the production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Uphold sanitation, health, and safety regulations in designated work areas. The role requires physical capabilities, including bending, lifting, and moving items weighing up to 75 lbs.
Adhere to quality inspection protocols and remove any food items that do not meet established quality criteria. Follow company safety and sanitation guidelines, maintain accurate records as necessary, and prepare sanitation equipment for cleaning tasks. Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning floors and external surfaces of all machinery, and restocking sanitation supplies for employees.
Clean plant drainage systems in accordance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), which includes drains from fluid processing machines. Prepare and utilize mobile foamers to sanitize work areas as per SSOPs. Navigate the first floor processing areas with the foamer, connecting it to stationary air lines and activating valves for foaming. Scrub, rinse, and sanitize all treated areas.Utilize stairs in a safe manner while transporting the mobile foamer to sanitize upper-level stacker rooms, ensuring thorough cleaning of all foamed areas.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and legibly, maintaining compliance with SOPs.
Follow established procedures for product storage, replenishing pick locations, and ensuring proper rotation of inventory, as well as for loading and unloading operations using a pallet jack.
Take responsibility for prerequisite programs and food quality in the assigned area, promptly reporting any food safety or quality concerns to management. Perform additional tasks as required, providing support in the production area as needed.Attendance and Physical Requirements:
Consistent and punctual attendance is essential. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to use hands for handling, talking, or listening; and occasionally taste or smell.
The employee must regularly stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. The role necessitates the ability to push, pull, lift, and/or move up to 75 pounds.Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
