We are a family-run company based in Rochester, NY, with a strong presence in the food industry. Our company has grown from its roots as a pasta sauce and salsa manufacturer to become an R&D engine, formulating and producing innovative food products for our national and retailer brand partners.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources professional to support our HR department with handling mid-level human resources functions and programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer FMLA, WC, DBL, and personal leave programs
  • Conduct new hire orientations and deliver training to new managers
  • Conduct exit interviews and respond to unemployment inquiries
  • Responsible for interviewing and offer process for hourly positions
  • Attend daily production meetings and monthly town hall meetings
  • Participate in job fairs and assist with HR Department/Company events/projects
  • Remain current on changes/updates to applicable employment laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree and/or 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to flex hours to service multiple populations
  • PHR certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with high experience in word and excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Local, State, and Federal Employment Law knowledge
  • Experience in Leave Management
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a sedentary office environment and occasionally visit the manufacturing plant floor. Must follow Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines.
