Under the guidance of the Regional Director/Assistant Regional Director, you will oversee regional team members and coordinators (Nurses and Inspectors) in executing certification surveys, licensure inspections, and investigations, including inquiries into abuse, neglect, or exploitation, within Home Health and Hospice Agencies to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.

As an integral member of the Regional Management Team, you will ensure that deadlines and data entry requirements are met for all visits. You will coordinate departmental activities and resources for a Home and Community Support Services unit to achieve program objectives. Additionally, you will assist the Regional Director/Assistant Regional Director with various administrative responsibilities as assigned. This role requires local and occasional statewide travel.

Essential Job Functions:

- Supervise unit staff, including planning work schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

- Evaluate programs, procedures, or processes for effectiveness through comprehensive reviews (e.g., statistics, reports, operations, findings, case readings, surveys, quality assurance activities, performance measures, best practices) and report results or make recommendations for improvements.

- Track, monitor, plan, coordinate, or schedule activities on a complex level to ensure all deadlines and requirements are met.
- Serve as a liaison for assigned areas on complex issues with agency staff or external entities. Plan, participate in, and oversee staff training.
- Select, manage, and develop staff through conferences, mentoring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Provide testimony at hearings or court proceedings regarding policy/procedures, history, findings, or activities.

- Attend work regularly and predictably in accordance with agency leave policies and perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of specialized program areas in Long-Term Care Regulatory, such as Home Health and Hospice.
- Ability to perform supervisory, managerial, or professional work.

- Knowledge of and ability to monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to the program area.
- Understanding of applicable agency program policies and monitoring systems.
- Proficient in developing guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a management team.
- Ability to organize workloads and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Competence in coaching employees to enhance their skills, including providing support and training to improve job performance.
- Skill in devising solutions to administrative challenges.
