Job Description

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Leadership Program (MLP) Engineer - Class of 2025 is a three-year rotational program that provides an opportunity to develop and advance cutting-edge technology that supports national defense services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes used in General Dynamics Mission Systems production.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, determine project time standards, and recommend tools and processes for new and existing product lines.
  • Provide guidance to fellow engineers, helping them to enhance organizational design concepts and manufacturing techniques.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Practice creative thinking and ideation to advance business performance.
  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers' changing business needs.
  • Support and engage in programs, projects, and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDMS services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related specialized area or field.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • GPA 3.0 (minimum); 3.6 Preferred.
  • Demonstrated Leadership.
  • Critical Thinking.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills.
  • High Motivation.
