Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Resideo. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our product designs meet the factory's DFM and DFT requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review BOMs and design PCB panels using Valor NPI tool
  • Check DFM and DFT issues on each PCB design with engineering team and factory
  • Represent engineering with factory processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage Valor NPI and other manufacturing tools, including library and tool upgrades
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues
  • Optimize design with respect to producibility, reliability, and cost
  • Generate SA Assembly drawing files for factory manufacturing
  • Support ECAD Librarians and Component Engineering teams
  • Provide training and guidance on manufacturing and quality processes
  • Drive continuous manufacturing processes improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience working with Valor NPI tool
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering support responsibilities
  • Knowledge of PCB fabrication processes and IPC standards
  • Experience with high-volume consumer electronic products manufacturing is desired
  • Technical background of DFM and DFT guidelines and checklists
  • Manufacturing working experience in factory
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and cost reductions
