Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Department Associate to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our meat products are properly wrapped, weighed, and priced. You'll also provide exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and organized department, and perform other related tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service to internal and external customers.
- Meat Preparation: Wrap, weigh, and price meat products accurately and efficiently.
- Department Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized department, including the cutting room and retail cases.
- Inventory Management: Ensure proper inventory levels and rotation of products.
- Equipment Operation: Operate wrapping machines, scales, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sanitation and Safety: Follow company policies and legal regulations for sanitation and safety in the meat department.
- Communication Skills: Consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
- Physical Demands: Work varied hours, including night, weekends, and holidays, and perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Adaptability: Be flexible and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Food Safety: Follow company policies and legal regulations for food safety and sanitation.
- Food Handlers Certification: Obtain and maintain a valid food handlers certification.
