Meat Cutter

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for maintaining the desired level of fresh meat production, ensuring customer service, product quality, freshness, and selection. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the department and equipment, and providing friendly, courteous customer service to internal and external customers.

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and engaging with customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Meat Production: Maintain the desired level of fresh meat production, ensuring product quality, freshness, and selection.
• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the department, equipment, and work area.
• Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory levels, rotating stock, and preventing shrink and controlling expenses.
• Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, including trim specifications, proper temperatures, and product handling procedures.

• Food Handlers Certification: Possess a valid Food Handlers Certification (per state laws).
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, move rapidly, bend, twist, and turn frequently. Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 80 lbs.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.

The Meat Cutter will work in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment, handling refrigerated goods and operating various equipment, including scales, knives, band saws, meat tenderizers, meat slicers, grinders, and bailers.
