Role Overview: As a Product Quality Engineer, you will collaborate both internally and externally to establish, develop, and implement processes that ensure the delivery of high-quality and dependable products.

This position primarily focuses on our Anvil and Ghost product lines, with opportunities for career advancement across various products in the development phase.

Ideal Candidate: The perfect candidate will possess knowledge in manufacturing, product development, testing/system performance criteria, metrology, and continuous improvement, particularly in the context of drones and aerial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product development initiatives to enhance quality for Anvil and Ghost through detailed design reviews, process development, and validation of processes and components.
  • Resolve ambiguities related to product maturity and process stability that affect quality and reliability targets.
  • Facilitate the transition from new product introduction to a sustainable and efficient manufacturing process.
  • Eliminate product risks to enhance reliability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Engage in quality assurance activities from concept through development and manufacturing to field deployment.
  • Ensure adherence to product and process requirements, while continuously defining and refining these standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to outline and execute the product roadmap.
  • Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) initiatives, assessing the effectiveness of actions taken.
  • Conduct product health data analysis and improvement initiatives, establishing metrics for quality measurement.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of the Quality Management System and documentation processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality within aerospace/defense or similar sectors.
  • Familiarity with design review processes and quality management of PCBA, harnessing, avionics, and systems integration.
  • Proven track record in driving product quality and performance requirements.
  • Knowledge of product development methodologies such as FMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technical discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in developing quality systems for complex manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards.
  • Experience with IPC standards and government contract quality requirements.
  • Proficiency in Teamcenter, SolidWorks, Jira, Tableau, and Altium.
