Your contributions will be essential in guaranteeing the performance and reliability of jet propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive quality assurance processes throughout the product development lifecycle in collaboration with the propulsion engineering team.
  • Utilize product maturity frameworks to establish quality plans that align with program schedules and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and reliability of propulsion systems.
  • Lead quality planning and execution to meet customer design specifications and system integration requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate product and process risks to enhance quality and reliability across the product lifecycle.
  • Support rigorous testing protocols for jet propulsion systems, including assembly checks and post-test evaluations.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration to define and execute product roadmaps and delivery timelines.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project meetings, leading Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives.
  • Review the effectiveness of corrective actions and disseminate lessons learned across the product team.
  • Support the implementation of the Quality Management System and enhance documentation as necessary.
  • Generate and present quality metrics to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Prepare for and lead customer audits and reviews related to quality management and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in turbomachinery engineering or aerospace manufacturing.
  • Proficient in the principles of internal combustion engines and turbomachinery aerodynamics and thermodynamics.
  • Experience in driving high-quality assembly and disassembly of complex mechanical structures.
  • Familiarity with product development methodologies such as FMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and statistical tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with air-breathing propulsion systems.
  • 5-7 years of experience in developing quality systems for complex manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and MIL standards.
