Key Responsibilities:

  • Eliminate product risks to enhance reliability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Engage in quality assurance activities from conception through development and manufacturing to field deployment.
  • Ensure adherence to product and process requirements while defining and refining these standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to outline and execute the product roadmap.
  • Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) initiatives, assessing the effectiveness of actions and disseminating lessons learned across the product team.
  • Conduct product health data analysis and improvement initiatives, establishing metrics to gauge quality and predict performance.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of the Quality Management System, defining and refining necessary documentation and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality within aerospace/defense or similar hardware sectors.
  • Familiarity with design review processes and quality management of PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion systems, and lethality systems.
  • Proven track record in driving product quality and performance requirements through test and measurement system development and optimization.
  • Understanding of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements.
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to apply industry standards and best practices with a strong ownership mindset.
  • Analytical skills for data mining, quality metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in developing quality systems for low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001-based Quality Management System requirements.
  • Experience with IPC standards and general workmanship standards.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and MIL standard requirements applicable to quality for aerial vehicles.
  • Experience with design software such as Teamcenter, SolidWorks, Jira, Tableau, and Altium.
