Position Overview:

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a dedicated professional to serve as the Lead Program Evaluator for the Comprehensive Suicide Prevention initiatives. This role is essential in driving the evaluation and analysis of programs aimed at reducing suicide rates and improving mental health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary scientific authority and evaluator for the Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program.
  • Independently develop and implement research methodologies and analyses, serving as the agency's expert in program evaluation and policy-related research.
  • Create comprehensive evaluation frameworks and logic models for various projects under the Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program.
  • Oversee and facilitate program evaluation tasks, including effective data collection, process evaluation, quality assurance, outcome assessment, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Monitor evaluation strategies for grants associated with the role.
  • Analyze program data to assess the influence of initiatives on behavioral health.
  • Evaluate outcome data to identify health disparities across different demographics.
  • Collaborate with program teams to analyze population-level data and recommend data-informed interventions.
  • Serve as the liaison and co-chair for relevant partnerships focused on youth suicide prevention and other priority areas.
  • Lead analytical investigations related to agency-specific issues or services within the Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Program.
  • Utilize existing databases and develop specialized data systems as needed.
  • Coordinate the administration and reporting of evaluation measures, including comprehensive assessments and both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Track the progress of program objectives towards both short-term and long-term goals, providing reports as required.
  • Assist Program Managers in preparing progress reports and other documentation aligned with grant deliverables.
