Position Overview:

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is dedicated to establishing a premier system for mental health and addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery that is recognized and valued by all Ohio residents.

This position is funded through a grant and will conclude upon the fulfillment of the grant's objectives. The department is looking to fill two (2) Alcohol & Drug Program Specialist 2 roles at the Central Office to support the planning and development of prevention, treatment, and recovery initiatives within the State Opioid Response (SOR 3.0) Project. Employment will end once the grant is completed.

  • Serve as a liaison with statewide agency partners, stakeholder groups, and other organizations
  • Assist in formulating long-term strategies to enhance community care systems
  • Interpret and ensure adherence to federal and state regulations
  • Assess program effectiveness and provide actionable recommendations
  • Oversee data reporting on program performance metrics

Qualifications:

A completed undergraduate degree in human services or equivalent experience is required. Additional experience in Infant and Early Childhood Development, Early Childhood Mental Health, program evaluation, and working with diverse families is preferred. A three percent salary supplement is available for those possessing a valid clinical license.

Note: This position offers competitive compensation with incremental increases following a probationary period and successful annual performance evaluations.
