Position Overview
Substance Use Prevention Coordinator

Role Description

We are looking for a qualified individual to deliver prevention services focused on mental health and substance use within two distinct programs aimed at youth and adults at risk of developing related disorders.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in the behavioral health sector and a solid understanding of prevention service standards.

Independence and initiative are crucial, as the candidate will be expected to proactively establish and maintain collaborations with community entities such as educational institutions, health centers, and local organizations.

The Youth Empowerment Support (YES) initiative seeks to collaborate with organizations that serve young people to create youth-driven prevention programs.

The Conversations About Recovery and Support (CARS) initiative aims to partner with organizations that assist adults facing substance use challenges, providing educational resources and consultation to raise awareness of risks and facilitate access to necessary treatment.


Qualifications
Certified Prevention Specialist, LPC/LSW required. *Prevention certification can be obtained during the orientation period.

As a healthcare organization, Southeast Healthcare maintains a non-smoking policy. Staff members are required to be vaccinated against the flu and COVID-19, with the option for religious and medical exemptions during the hiring process.
