Job Summary

The Warranty Administrator / Booker is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring seamless warranty claims processing and reconciliation. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process warranty claims in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
  • Verify warranty criteria with the factory or distributor, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Reconcile warranty receivables with payments, posting credits as necessary.
  • Resubmit rejected claims promptly or obtain authorization to write them off.
  • Follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely payment.
  • Track warranty parts, tagging them with repair order numbers, dates of replacement, and disposal dates.
  • Arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor, or to be scrapped.
  • Maintain accurate service records, as required by the warrantor.
  • Stay informed of all factory recalls and bulletins.
  • Assist with body shop warranty claims as needed.
  • Support cashier and telephone operator duties as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the fixed operations manager or controller.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of computers, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Valid in-state driver's license.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry.
  • Previous experience with warranty claims processing.
