Job Summary

This position will include processing all warranty claims for Doggett. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times, aiding company employees and end users in clarifying warranty obligations, and interacting with manufacturer's representatives regarding various warranty functions.

  • Interact with Manufacturer's Representatives
    • Interact with manufacturer's representatives regarding various warranty functions
  • Coordinate Warranty Repairs
    • Coordinate warranty repairs with other departments
  • Review and Respond to Open Work Orders
    • Reviews and responds to open work orders designated for warranty as per company policies
  • Prepare Warranty Orders
    • Prepare warranty orders to be processed by gathering, sorting, organizing, and recording data, information, and documents
  • Evaluate Warranty
    • Evaluates warranty by comparing work performed to applicable warranties
  • Reject Warranty
    • Rejects warranty when necessary by preparing written correspondence explaining warranty limits
  • Meet Company Standards
    • Meets company standards as they pertain to timely submission of warranty invoices
  • Keep Information Accessible
    • Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents and updating databases
  • Follow Up on Warranty Receivables
    • Follows up on warranty receivables to ensure payment in a timely manner
  • Aid in Warranty Audits
    • Aids in the completion of warranty audits
  • Expand Job Knowledge
    • Expands job knowledge by participating in prescribed training opportunities, and by reading technical publications
Qualifications
  • Education
    • High school diploma required
    • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in business preferred
  • Experience
    • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred, from either a service or warranty role in either the heavy equipment or automotive industry
  • Skills
    • General knowledge of diesel engines, powertrain components, and hydraulics is preferred
    • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Excel, is preferred
    • Competency with math and essential financial calculations for invoicing
    • Online billing experience
    • Excellent customer service/communication skills required
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize
    • Ability to analyze and comprehend a significant volume of information
    • Ability to address problems and facilitate successful outcomes
    • Ability to accept additional tasks, duties and/or direction from management
    • Ability to read, interpret, and speak English; Spanish a plus
