Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Area Plant Office Administrator to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our plant operations, ensuring the smooth flow of daily activities, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to plant operations, including maintaining documentation, coordinating customer orders, and performing daily plant duties.
  • Collaborate with plant managers and region accounting to ensure accurate financial information and timely reporting.
  • Serve as a point of contact for guests and answer phones, directing questions or problems to the appropriate individual.
  • Maintain correct levels of inventory for all plant and office materials, ordering new materials as needed.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, manuals, and forms, and work with region's Human Resources department to handle personnel requests and problems.
Requirements
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and common office practices, procedures, and use of office equipment.
  • Ability to use computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices, with appropriate typing skills and a thorough understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to interact well with people in all levels of the organization.
  • Act with unyielding integrity and honesty in business transactions, promote company policies, and hold self and other employees accountable.
