Job Summary

Legent Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Coordinator to support key elements of our facility. This role is responsible for insurance verification, medical records, front office duties, receptionist, and scheduling of patient procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and checking messages
  • Maintaining front lobby/reception area
  • Checking in patients for surgery
  • Greeting visitors and monitoring center traffic/checking in and out
  • Cleaning areas after patient care
  • Collecting information about patient insurance; data entry of information; verification of insurance coverage; calculation of co-payments, deductibles, and patient payments
  • Scanning and maintaining medical records
  • Maintaining medical records, handling medical records requests, in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Contacts insurance companies and other concerned parties regarding insurance benefits and financial responsibility for surgeries performed at the Center
  • Obtains authorization numbers on patient surgeries when needed
  • Keeps accurate records and notes of patient account details in their chart
  • Surgery scheduling
  • Charge entry, preference card maintenance, and recovery room log completion

Requirements:

  • Graduate of high school required
  • Must demonstrate computer knowledge
  • Some knowledge of accounting 10-key by touch and data entry skill required
