We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Administrative Support Coordinator II to join our team at InsideHigherEd. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that will provide comprehensive administrative, event, and student support across our organization.
Responsibilities:- Provide administrative and accounting support to our team, including processing disbursement requests and travel claims, preparing budgets and purchase requisitions, and training and managing student personnel.
- Coordinate internships, scholarships, and events, interface with students and provide career development resources, and maintain a database of recent graduates.
- Arrange and attend board and committee meetings, create and distribute meeting minutes, and respond to board member inquiries.
- Provide content for and manage our website, organize marketing collateral, newsletters, and promotional materials, and support social media and marketing efforts.
- Organize events by managing logistics, budgeting, venue coordination, and catering, oversee event setup, cleanup, and follow-up, and manage event invitations, sponsorships, event budgets, and speaker coordination.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 years of progressively responsible experience in an office or administrative environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Fundamental written and oral communication skills, including a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Ability to understand standard office procedures, operate standard office equipment, learn office technology systems, perform basic arithmetic calculations, and typing and keyboard skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers, clients, and study participants.
- Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
- Ability to relate well to others within the project environment.
- Ability to display motivation and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to display organization, meet deadlines, display detail orientation, possess good judgment and common sense.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of cross-cultural sensitivity.
