Trade and Customer Planning Intern

At Jack Link's Beef Jerky, we're looking for a talented and driven individual to join our sales team as a Trade and Customer Planning Intern. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic sales business plans to drive revenue growth and improve operating income.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize data analytics to evaluate and select customer-specific trade rates and slotting approvals with minimal risks.
  • Review customer promotional spending plans for effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with guidelines and budgets.
  • Identify best practices in trade spending effectiveness and share across the Retail Sales team.
  • Assist in the development of strategic sales and trade plans, including pre- and post-promotional analysis for key accounts and across channel archetypes.
  • Develop promo event-level guidelines and work with Sales to create ROI-informed promotional calendars/plans.
  • Partner with Trade Strategy team to develop, implement, and manage trade spend architecture by channel.
Requirements:
  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing / Business Admin and completed at least one year of coursework.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with strong ability to multi-task.
  • Highly detailed with strong organizational and operating skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge: Microsoft Office, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power Bi.
  • Strong communication skills, including writing and communication skills, and ability to interact and persuade individuals at various levels of the organization.
