Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all UAN procurement, trading, risk management, and strategy for ADM. This includes:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive UAN strategy for North America
  • Partnering with procurement, sales, logistics, and customer support to optimize the UAN product line
  • Building relationships with all UAN suppliers and eastern corn belt urea suppliers
  • Identifying and acting on trading opportunities to optimize the ADM Fertilizer supply chain
  • Trading the Eastern corn belt urea while working closely with other urea traders on overall strategy
  • Providing analysis and input into further development and success of ADM

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or agriculture, or equivalent experience, supplemented with a minimum of 2 to five years of trading experience, Ag, or energy sector preferred
  • Demonstrate capacity to manage a position, trade basis, evaluate and manage risk, perform fundamental and technical analysis
  • Build relationships with both suppliers and customers
  • Basic understanding of grain trading and fertilizer markets, production agriculture
  • Commitment to be a positive & professional team leader
  • Ability to function effectively, both independently and in group efforts
  • Resilient, entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and possessing problem-solving skills necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interface with various levels of ADM
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams with a proven track record of operating autonomously
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
