Job Title: Account Executive

Job Summary:

The Account Executive is a key role in promoting the Security Solutions business unit, driving sales success, and building strong customer relationships. This position requires a strong understanding of HVAC equipment and contracting services, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow assigned territory or group of accounts, consisting of building owners, end-users, and property managers.
  • Achieve booking and gross margin goals, with a general annual booking volume guideline of $1M-$1.5M.
  • Develop and implement plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers or territory.
  • Effectively perform needs assessments and develop sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
  • Work with operations, finance, legal, and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale.
  • Follow through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion and smooth sales-to-operations turnover.
  • Assist in resolving installation, collections, and other customer satisfaction issues as needed.
  • Analyze and suggest upgrades and/or repairs based on performance metrics of the FDD software.
  • Assist customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommend suitable resolutions accordingly.
  • Prepare accurate and thorough sales activity reports, forecast reports, and expense tracking.
  • Participate in civic and professional organizations, sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars, and continue to pursue in-depth product and service knowledge and acquire deeper selling, technical, and financial skills.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of sales-related work experience.
  • Modest related technical and financial expertise.
  • Understanding of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with excellent customer service and computer skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including upper management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of accountability and willingness to take responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in engineering, business, or a similar field with 2-4 years of related work experience.
  • Any credentials, including LEED GA/AP, CEM, FE, or PE.
  • ASHRAE association.

Physical Requirements:

This position may require lifting to 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
